The Fight Is Over

"NO! No please. Loki stop! I'm pregnant!" I yell. He stops. I lock eyes with Steve. He's trying to register what I just said.  And then I look to Bucky. The same look on his face. Both of them, tears trailing down their cheeks.

"You what?" Loki asks. I guess he wants to make sure he heard me correctly. Trying to see if I was lying to save my life or if I actually was.

"I'm pregnant. I'm sorry I didn't tell you both before, I was waiting until I was a little further along. That's why I wanted to leave so bad. I should have told you, this is all my fault."

"Sweetheart don't apologize it's okay. It's not your fault, we should have listened to you. We're gonna get you and our baby safe." You look at Bucky, he hadn't said anything. You were worried he would be mad.

"We should have given you the benefit of the doubt and just left. And you are the furthest thing from selfish. I'm sorry. Steve's right. You both are gonna be okay."

"I'm an awful person. I give you that, but I'm not a complete monster. I can't kill a child." Loki says. He lets you go and you fall to the floor. You quickly get up and run into Steve's arms and Bucky's are soon wrapped around you too.

There's a commotion behind you as the boys start to pull you away from the room. The team is apprehending Loki. "How the hell did you manage to escape the raft?" Tony asks.

"There is no place that can hold me." He simply replies. "Thor, what do you want to do with him? He's a danger to everyone, and he manages to find his way out of every jail..." Nat says.

"Kill him." Thor says. "Thor, I'm sure we can find another way if that's what you want." Wanda says. "No. He's hurt enough people. He won't change. Kill him. Make sure he had that collar on him blocking his powers so you can do it properly."

He walks out of the room and you start to follow him but Steve grabs your hand. "You need a check up and you need to rest. You can talk to him later."

As you make your way to the lab you hear a loud noise. You can't exactly make out what it is but you know that it's over. Loki is dead. Finally. The fight is over.

You walk in the door of the lab and Bruce is already in there. Everything that's happened has been too overwhelming and yours exhausted.

The world goes black. You pass out. Bucky catches you and lays you on the exam table. "Before you freak out, dont. It's been a rough day and she's pregnant. She's fine. Her body just gave out from all the stress."

"We should have listened to her." Bucky says. "I know. But we didn't. But she's okay now. So let's just make sure the baby is okay and we'll talk to her when she wakes up..."
