MISSION

A few weeks later everyone is eating breakfast and Tony comes into the room with a serious look on his face. He locks eyes directly with you and your heart sinks. "We have a mission." He says.

"What is it?" Nat asks looking around the room. "There's a train, there are over 100 hostages on it, nobody can get there, we need to rescue them."

Tony says and he never takes his eyes off of you. You look at Steve and Bucky who are looking at you and each other and then you look back at Tony.

"Who has to go Tony?" You ask. "Y/n, I wish I didn't have to." He starts but you cut him off. "Which one is it?" You yell. The thought of either of them being in danger upsets you to no end especially with the twins on the way.

"There are men in the train with weapons. Military level weapons. And they're believed to be from hydra. We just can't seem to escape them." He says ignoring your question.

Your pregnancy hormones aren't making the fact that you're angry any better. It's fueling your anger and enraging you.

"Tony, Which one of my babies fathers are you going to send on a mission where they could die? Which one of them are you putting in danger when I'm due to have these babies in three months?"

"Baby calm down. It'll be okay. Whichever one of us it is we'll be fine and the other will be here to look after you while we're gone."

The look on Tony's face tells you that there's more going in than he lets on. At this point you're crying and you try to hold in your tears but you can't.

"We need two of you to use as bait to put on the train as a distraction while the others rescue the passengers. It's going to be dangerous. They're looking for us to be there specifically."

You shake your head and hide your face in your hands. "Doll, it'll be okay. We're always okay. You know this. It's not good for you to stress out hun."

He rubs your back soothingly while Steve rubs your belly with one hand and the other rubs through your hair. You move your hands and look back up at Tony. His eyes have still never left yours.

You look around the room and everyone is looking from you to Tony and back. Waiting. "I'll be the bait." Nat says. "It doesn't work like that." Tony says.

"Why not? I'll be the bait." Sam says. He's trying to stick up for all three of you. He may mess with you all sometimes but he does care and he hates seeing you upset. He cares about you all.

"They'll only react to two of you." Tony says. "Who Tony!? Just freaking tell us already!" You yell. You were tired of the beating around the bush.

But at this point, you knew. And your heart broke as he said the words and you let yourself fall into Steve's and Bucky's arms.

"Both. Both Steve and Bucky."
