Push

"No. No no no. I'm not ready." You say. Your water had broke eight hours ago and you were in labor and delivery at the hospital. It was time for you to push. You were in an unbearable amount of pain especially because there were three babies.

Two days ago you had been talking about names and now you were actually having the triplets. It was all moving so fast. "Yes you are. I know it hurts but you're ready. Just take a deep breath." Steve tells you. Peter was with the twins outside. Bucky and Steve took turns checking on them and sitting with them.

The boys had been surprisingly well behaved. They were now asleep thank god. It made labor a lot easier knowing you didn't really have to worry about the twins. And Peter was old enough to occupy himself and to understand what was going on.

"If you push, you get them out. And the sooner you get them out, the sooner it stops hurting. Yea?" Bucky asks. "Yea. Okay. Okay. Time to push." You reply. You realized what he said was incredibly logical and you wanted the pain to be over as soon as possible.

You pushed. And pushed. And pushed again. And one of your baby boys was born. "It's one of our baby boys." Steve says. "Baby A." Bucky says. "No more baby A. Baby A's name is Anthony Peter Rogers-Barnes." You tell them. You had talked about baby names the other day but hadn't decided yet.

You had a list of potentials but none were for certain. "You decided on Peter?" Bucky asked. "Yea. He's gonna be so excited. I'm glad we talked about that without him I wanted it to be a surprise." You say.

"I think he'll love it. And Tony's ego will grow even more when he hears that the baby is named partially after him." Steve says. It was time to push again. So you pushed, and pushed. And then our came your second baby boy. "Another baby boy. What's Baby B's name?" Bucky asks.

"I know things between Nat and I...they're...pretty much non-existent now. But there was a time that I wanted to name one of my children after her. So...it's not gonna be a first name, and not exact. But Baby B...is Derek Nathanial Rogers-Barnes." You say.

"Where does the name Derek come from?" Steve asks. "Derek Shepard. Remember when I got my powers back and you were being a bully because I had a McDreamy blanket. He's McDreamy." You explain. "We're gonna let that slide because you did give birth to him and carry him, but I think his middle name is great. I know you miss her doll, even after everything." Bucky says.

Now it was time to push again. For your baby girl. You pushed. And pushed. And pushed. And there was a cry. And you heard your baby girl. "Our baby girl." Steve whispers as he sees your baby. "god, she's beautiful. She looks just like you." Bucky says. "And baby girls name is...?" Steve asks.

"Sarah Winnifred Rogers-Barnes."
