Hiding

"Got it! Thanks. I don't want Bucky finding out somehow and thinking I was hiding it." As the words leave your mouth the door opens and Bucky walks in. Obviously heading for Tony's whiskey collection when he overhears you. "Hiding what doll?"

You walk over to him and wrap your arms around his waist, pulling him close and planting a tiny kiss on his lips. "Hey babe, can we go into another room to talk alone?" 

He's obviously still fixated on the conversation he just walked in on. His eyebrows knit together as he looks down at you. "Yea we should." You relies your arms from his waist and nod.

You grab his flesh hand in yours and pull him upstairs to your room. When you walk in he lets go of your hand and sits on the bed. "What is it?" He asks, his hands on his knees and his eyes focusing on you curiously. 

You walk over and stand between his lets, taking his metal hand in yours and drawing circles in his palm. "So when I told Steve, he said he was a virgin too. And we were thinking that him and I would lose it together so it was special."

For the first time since you came into the room, you make eye contact with him. His eyes are a stormy blue color, filled with confusion and anxiety. He tilts his head to the side, urging you to continue without saying anything.

"But then I talked to Nat and she helped me realize that it would be special for me whether it was with you or him because how I feel about you both." He shakes his head, about to talk but you stop him. Trying to finish explain before he jumps to conclusions.

"What i'm saying is, I don't want to lose it to Steve if it was pre-planned and because we're both virgins. If I lose it to him, I want it to be because we were int the moment and it felt right. Like you, if I lose it to you, it would be because we both want to and it would feel right when we decide to. I want it to happen on its own."

He clearly isn't convinced. You figured he wouldn't be. He can be stubborn and when he starts to get emotionally attached or is getting cold feet, he likes to destroy things and cause fights in order to stop it before he gets hurt. 

But you wont hurt him. Or Steve. It's the last thing you ever want to do. You look back down at his hand you'd been playing with and start tracing his fingers over and over again. Staying calm even when he's clearly upset.

"Why were koi talking about hiding things with Nat then? Were you not going to tell me?" There it is. Him trying to push you away. But it wont work. You look back up at him and with your free hand you place it on his cheek.

"No, of course I was. You know I want to be open and honest Seth you both. That's the only way this will work. I was telling her I would tell you regardless because I didn't want you to think I was hiding it. I'm not. Theres nothing to hide Buck."

"That's not all it'll take to make this work." He shakes his head, still upset. "I know Buck. But that's the start. I just want it to happen when it happens. And I'm already so lucky that it'll be with one of you. I am so lucky to have you two."

He's still trying to argue. His guard is up. You need to help him bring it down. "Do you want it to be with Steve? Do you even want it to be with me? You were just planning to lose it to him."

"Bucky of course I want it to be with you. If I could have it both ways I would. We just have to see how it all happens. We can't force it, or it wont feel right...or special. You know that."

He just stares at you and you drop his metal hand back on his lap and take his face in both your hands pulling him close so he's looking directly into your eyes and his lips are close to yours.

"Stop trying to fight with me Sergeant. It's not going to work." He bites his lip, trying to hold back from leaning in to close the distance between your lips, especially after you've called him Sergeant. You poke your bottom lip out and make puppy eyes at him and with that, he melts.
