We'll Do It Together

When you get out into the living room, you're holding Steve's hand, Bucky looks at you and looks at Steve, then his eyes travel down to your connected hands. You and Steve had decided that you would explain everything to Bucky while Steve waited with the kids.

"Buck, Steve's gonna wait with the kids, can you come with me into the room? Steve explained everything, it's not what you think." You tell him. "You're taking his side?" Bucky asks angrily.

"Buck please, I just got the babies to sleep. I'll explain everything just let me. Give him the benefit of the doubt." You say. Buckys jaw tightens and he gets off the couch and walks past you and Steve to go to the bedroom.

You turn to Steve and stand of your toes, kissing his cheek. "Everything will be fine. I'll explain everything and he'll understand." You tell him. "Okay." Steve whispers. He lets go of your hand and walks over, sitting on the couch. You can tell by the look on his face he's not convinced that everything's gonna be okay.

You go into the room with Bucky and shut the door. "Buck, Steve isn't leaving us for Peggy. He never was. The thought never even crossed his mind. That's not the reason he wanted to get a hold of one of the stones. Why he wanted to go back...it wasn't for Peggy." You say.

"What was it for?" Bucky asks. He was avoiding eye contact. Trying not to look at you because he knew that if he did he would go soft. "He wants to take the reality stone and alter reality so when I got pregnant when you were gone, I never lost the baby. He wants to make it so I'm pregnant with the baby now. So we can have the child we lost, back." You explain.

He looks at you in disbelief. "He-he wants to go back for the baby?" Bucky asks. He was obviously in shock, this wasn't what he was expecting but it was better than what he thought it was.

"He does. And...since you were gone, we know who's baby it is. I want to know how you feel about it. I don't want to do this and not have you on board, I know it's not really fair to you. I still want to have another baby with you too. I just wanna know what you're thinking." You say.

He sits next to you on the bed and holds your hands. "Just because I wouldn't be the biological father doesn't mean I'm not having this baby with you too. If Steve can do this and if not change anything except that we have the baby, than we do it." He says. "Yea?" You ask.

"Y/n I know you and Steve lost this baby and I know it was terrible for the two of you. And we want another baby. I want to do this. We'll do it together."
