Get This Over With

"Y/n we have to go. Let's get go. If you insist on staying at the compound we need to go now." Steve says. You got a bag of clothes together and got your labor bag just incase something happened and you went into labor.

"I'm coming. I'm seven months pregnant with twins and I'm carrying two bags almost as big as my stomach." You point out. He instantly grabs them both from you and kisses your forehead.

"I'm sorry baby. I didn't know you had bags. I just thought you were procrastinating. You know I don't want to do this either but we have to." He says.

"What was the point of retiring if you were just gonna go on missions again anyway?" You ask and walk out the front door to the car.

Bucky was already out there putting his and Steve's bag in the car. "They need us. I'm sorry. You know how much I don't want this either. Y/n I love you. I love our twins, I love Bucky, you think I want to go on this mission and potentially die? Leave my family behind?" He asks.

You feel bad for asking now because now he's almost in tears. "I know you're not happy doll. None of us are. Steve's right. We have family now and that makes it even harder for us to go but we have no choice."

"I know. You can't just say no. It's hard for all of us and I don't want to take it out on you two. I'm sorry. I love you both. More than either of you will ever know." You say and hug them both.

"Don't take it out on anybody. Not Tony. Not Natasha. Not even Sam as tempting as it may be..." Bucky jokes. "Okay fine. Let's just go get this over with..."

"They've already attacked New York. They have all the stones except visions. We're going to go to Wakanda so they can extract it from him safely and then destroy it." Tony explains after you all get there the next morning.

You refused to stay home alone. You weren't going on the mission but you were At least staying at the compound while they did. "So you need both of them just to destroy a stone?" You ask dryly.

You were still not at all happy that they both had to go and not even a week after their retirement they got pulled right back out of it. And you were t determined to make it clear you weren't happy.
