The next few days you spend decorating your room. There are fairy lights all over and it has a quite and adorable aesthetic. The sheets are grey and white, a hanging chair and little plants around making it cozy and earthy. A grey rug in front of the bed and a star hanging form the ceiling topping it off.
A small knock on the door pulls you out of your daze, standing in the middle of the room looking at the finishing touches you had just put in. "Come in." You turn towards the door and its slowly opened revealing a shy Peter Parker.
"H-hey Ms. Y/n. Mr. Stark wants you to come downstairs and meet, uhm meet-" You smile at the kid and cut him off politely. "Thank you Peter. I'll be down in a minute."
"O-ok" He whispers before heading out of the room. A few moments later you come down the stairs and watch two men walk in the door and into what seems to be some sort of locker room.
As soon as you saw their faces, everything slowly became colorful. One was taller, muscular and blonde. Dirty blonde. With the brightest blue eyes you had ever seen. The other had darker hair and stormy blue eyes.
The next thing to catch your eye was his metal arm. Clearly these two men had been through hell. You felt a connection with both of them the moment you had seen them. But you saw color. So only one could be your soulmate.
The realization comes to you and you speak louder than you mean to. Everyone but the two men hear you. "Oh my god." Bruce and Natasha look at you. Bruce confused, but Natasha? She knows full well what just happened.
The men change out of their dirty uniforms and come into the living room where everyone else is. The blonde the first to enter. He sees you and a warm smile spreads across his lips. He had a small cut and bruising on his cheekbone.
His smile baffles you. It's a knowing smile. Surely he's your soulmate. He comes closer and his smile spreads farther. "Hi. You must be y/n. Stark told us we had a new recruit. It's nice to meet you ma'am." You blush as his blue eyes meet yours.
"Please. I feel so old when you call me ma'am. Nothing compared to you though Captain Rogers. Even though you don't look a day over thirty." He chuckles and it sends butterflies through your stomach.
"You can call me Steve. And that's very kind of you. I see you've done your research." You smile and nod. "I had to know who I would be working with. I don't work with just anybody Captain."
The other man comes up next to Steve and pats his back. "That's very smart of you. You should have done more research on him then. Im Sergeant James Barnes. You can call me Bucky."
Looking at both men and back to Bucky you feel sick to your stomach. You feel the same thing meeting Bucky as you did a moment ago with Steve. Neither are hinting at whether they're your soulmate or not.
"It's nice to meet you Sergeant. Uhm, now if you'll excuse me, I actually have training to do." Bucky smiles and you and bites his lip. "See you around doll." You practically melt at his cute little nickname. But you compose yourself. "Yea, see ya."
As you go to walk out of the room, Tony stops you. "Y/n, why did you say oh my god earlier." Recalling your action earlier when you had realized one of these gorgeous men was your soulmate, you try to act like you don't remember.
"Oh did I? I don't know. Anyway, see you later."
