Four and a half Months After The Blip
It was two weeks after your miscarriage and Steve hadn't wanted to believe it. You were both struggling. You woke up in the middle of the night and he wasn't in bed. He was sitting on the floor with several bottles of empty alcohol. He couldn't get drunk...but he was trying.
"We lost the baby?" He was finally coming to terms with it. As hard as it was. And it was hard. You had lost another child. "Yea, we lost the baby." You say and hold him close.
Five Months After The Blip
"Y/n. I need you to come out with me. We're doing it today. And I can't do it without you." It's been a month since you lost the baby and you have barely left the bed since. Steve, he worked harder now more than ever. He had to bring them back. "I can't."
"Yes you can. Baby, it's going to work. We need you. I need you." You look at him and tears burn your eyes. "I need you." He says again.
After you all suit up
"Are you seriously going to give a speech?" You ask him. "Who would I be if I didn't?" He says with a smirk. "I love you." You whisper and kiss his cheek. "I love you." He whispers back.
"Five years ago we lost. All of us. We lost friends. We lost family. We lost a part of ourselves. Today we have a chance to take it all back. You know your teams, you know your missions. Get the stones, get them back. One round trip each. No mistakes. No do overs. Most of us are going somewhere we know, that doesn't mean we should know what to expect. Be carful. Look out for each other. This is the fight of our lives. And we're gonna win. Whatever it takes. Good luck."
