Ember glared at him and said, "no they're not there trying to use the wolves to control me." Ember took off to her next class. The teacher then looked at Gray a little suspicious and asked, "who are you?"
Gray put his hands in his pockets and said, "I'm Gray." the teacher nodded and said, "so you're the new kid. why don't you come back around, class is about to begin." Gray nodded and the teacher turned and walked away. Gray looked back to where the pack had gone. Nanook was sitting there looking at him.
He turned away and headed to class as he thought 'they can't hurt the pack. So, why are they using them to threaten this girl? Who is she and what connection does she have with the pack and why does she trigger my memories? did I know her at some point?' he came to this town because he saw Nanook go to Ember but had questions that needed answered. He headed to class as he replayed the interaction with Ember. He thought she looked so peaceful. He smiled a little to himself as he walked in.
Ember was already in class in her chair at the back of the class. When Gray walked in, he saw a couple of the cheerleaders walking up to her and the captain said, "I heard your precious pack got into it and one got hurt. it probably won't live through the night. I guess your pack isn't as strong as you thought." Ember didn't look at her and just kept looking out the window as she said, "it wasn't a member of my pack that got hurt, it was a male from another pack." The cheer captain got angry and said, "are you calling me a liar? I'm not a liar." Ember said, "just go away."
The cheer captain said, "your pack is full of nothing but stupid flea-bitten mutts." Gray started to move to help Ember when her chair scraped against the
