said, "yes I have to get back so I can slip away and come set up the barriers but if they come before I get here use the sword and get out."
Ember nodded, Gray smiled and said, "don't look so worried everything will be fine okay." she nodded still not understanding how bringing her out here was supposed to help. Gray then added "I'll have someone from the pack watching the house and I'll try to see you tonight but if you can't see me know that we have your back." she smiled and said, "I know you guys do." he left shortly after and Owen asked, "where's Gray going so soon?"
Ember said, "he had something else to do today and needed to get back to town." She lied but none of them seemed to notice. Ember could tell Angela wasn't happy about Ember talking with Gray but couldn't tell why. Ember grabbed her bag and went inside. Angela showed her to a room with no windows and a bathroom.
The only furniture in the room was a bed and a nightstand with a lamp on it. Angela then said, "this is your room, Ember." Ember was disappointed there were no windows when she asked, why Angela said, "didn't you just get kidnapped out of your window in your house?" Ember said, nothing as she sat her stuff on the bed before she shut the door and began to unpack. She hid the sword under her bed before she laid down for a nap. her stomach hurt after all the movement.
After Gray left, he went back to his house and slipped out of town. He put up barriers around the town to throw them off. He then headed back to Angela's cabin where he put up three barriers and then asked, Nala to stay close to the cabin. He knew she was the
