he got there, he opened a portal to get the others there as they came through, he ran ahead. When Ember woke up this time Demetrius made her look into his eyes. She began to see black rings around her eyes and she felt herself starting to lose control of her body.
Demetrius untied her and gave her a knife. She could see what was happening but she couldn't control her body. she was trying to get herself to run away. She knew she needed to get away from him but she couldn't move. He then said, "cut your wrists and ankles if anyone tries to stop you, kill them." she knew she shouldn't have run off earlier.
Ember tried to stop herself but she cut her first wrist as Gray walked in and the portal began to open below her. She went to cut her other wrist as Gray ran to her. He closed the portal and she started crying when she saw Gray and her arm moved to kill him. She tried to stop herself but all she could do was slow her arm down. He understood and got out of the way of her attack.
He looked at her and he wanted to help her but he wasn't sure how. He heard the pack come in and held up his hand stopping them from getting closer. Demetrius then told Gray "she is just a burden on you just let her go." Gray tried to think of a way to free her when she went to cut her other wrist, he moved closer. he knew she would try to stab him but he would rather her stab him then for her to continue to hurt herself.
Gray could tell she was not in control but she could still see him and what was happening. she screamed in her head 'no stayaway I don't want to hurt you.' he needed to get her out of here and break the control. he opened a portal and let her hit him in the side. he took the knife from her and threw it away as he
