Jack nodded slightly as Anna asked, "when was your birthday? why didn't you tell us?" Ember smiled and explained to her, "I don't like celebrating my birthday and there was a lot going on at the time." Anna smiled and said, "you should have told us." Ember showed Anna the bracelet Jack was still not happy about them not being done packing. Anna said, "That's a great pick for you."
Ember smiled and said, "I thought so too." Anna smiled at Gray and asked, "are you guys ready?" Ember said, "almost, I just have a few more things to get." she finished packing quickly, Gray grabbed her bag and loaded it for her and they left for town. When they got to her house Gray unloaded Ember's bag as Kayla came out and hugged Ember.
Kayla smiled as she said, "I'm glad you're back." she looked at Gray like something was wrong. Evelyn was clearly mad and Owen wasn't too happy either. Kayla thanked Gray for watching out for Ember as Jack got out and introduced himself to Kayla and their parents. Angela said, "Jack it's nice to see you."
Jack went and talked with Angela, Ember rolled her eyes and Kayla whispered, "who's he and how does he know grandma?" Ember whispered back "that's one of the guys who's been helping Gray protect me. Grandma sent him, he's a hunter, his name is Jack. Mike is in the car there, the two I told you wouldn't leave me alone. Pete helped keep them away but yah." Kayla smiled and said, "he's kind of cute." Ember rolled her eyes and said, "good luck if you can get him away from me that would be great." Kayla smiled as she looked at Ember, she saw the chain from the bracelet and quietly asked, "what's around your wrist?"
