Alice smiled as Gray took Ember's hand and led her inside away from June who was just shocked. June couldn't believe he had stood up for Ember as she thought 'he doesn't stand up for anyone and now he does for this girl.' she couldn't stand it, Ember didn't understand why they were shocked, she wanted to ask Alice later for now Gray was leading her to the council and she asked, "so what makes me special then?" Gray looked at her and smiled and said, "I'll tell you later. right now, we need to see the council." he took her coat.
Gray wasn't good at speaking what was on his mind he did around Ember but that was it. he thought 'how can she not see how special she is. she had completely accepted him and the pack with no hesitation not many people could do that, she had found the other half of a sword that was only supposed to have one wielder and, in some ways, used it better than I could, she was a fast learner. and braver than most. she could also calm me down even when my anger has gotten out of control and has never believed I could hurt her.' She laughed a little as they entered a room with Five or six people in it including Kojak who smiled at them as they walked in. one of the men asked, "is this Ember the girl we're here about today?" Kojak said, "this is her."
