Henry went to his spot and got ready. the teacher looked at Ember and asked, "are you ready?" she nodded then the teacher said, to Gray and Henry "you may begin." Henry came at Gray with full force. Gray blocked with ease every attack that was thrown his way. After a minute he let go of his sword with one hand and started to dig in his pocket he still managed to block with ease which only made Henry angrier.
Ember's nerves were shot at this point then Gray turned and looked at her and held out a piece of paper to her and said, "you left this earlier at lunch." She took the paper and unfolded it. It was her drawing that she was missing. It was of her and Koda in wolf form with his human form from her dreams coming out of him like a ghost standing back-to-back with their families on either side of them. It was her favorite drawing. but it got a little wet and the edges were blurry, but she was glad to have it back.
Gray turned back to the fight after she thanked him. Gray won shortly after. Kayla wondered what Gray had given to Ember as the teacher came up and held out his hand. Ember knew what he wanted but she knew she would never get it back if she gave it to him. But if she didn't, he would tell Evelyn and she would search Ember's room and find everything Ember tried so hard to hide from her. Gray was confused why the teacher looked upset.
Ember looked at it one more time and gave it to him. He looked at it and pulled her off to the side and said, "you have a lot of talent. I just wish you'd do something more useful with it." You know I have to show your mom." Ember nodded at him. He then added "wolves are dangerous and she's just afraid you'll try to run off with them and they'll hurt you."
