She was looking for him when Ember turned down an alley to get out of the crowd. Gray had seen Nala's dad's Jewelry shop and decided to get Ember a late birthday gift there. He slipped away and placed his order quickly. someone grabbed Ember's arm as she was looking for Gray and pulled her into them. She looked up as she stepped back and saw a boy with black hair and blue eyes.
He smiled at her as he said, "I've never seen you before, you're pretty cute. how about we get out of here?" she said, "no thank you. I have to get back." he cut her off and said, "at least let's talk a little bit." he grabbed her arm again as he said, that. The next thing she knew Gray was next to her he put his arm around Ember's shoulder, anger clear on his face as he asked, "is this guy bothering you Ember?"
The guy went a little pale, released Ember's arm and quickly said, "I'm sorry Koda I didn't realize she was with you." Gray glared at him and the boy backed away as Ember turned to Gray and asked, "where did you disappear to? One second you were with me the next you were gone." Gray smiled at her as he said, "sorry I had something to do really quick I should have had you wait for me or taken you back to the house first." she smiled and said, "it's fine just let me know next time so I don't wander off." he said, "I'll keep that in mind next time."
They walked around some more with his arm around her. After a little bit June walked up and started talking to Gray and ignoring Ember as she was openly flirting with Gray. he didn't seem to notice she then asked, "why is that little pest here with you anyway?"
