floor as she stood up. The whole class turned and looked at her and the cheerleaders as Ember glared at the cheer captain and said, "Don't insult my pack." Gray was surprised by her words but said nothing as he watched them. He wanted to help her, but she seemed to be doing just fine on her own.
The cheer captain faltered for a second and before she could recover the teacher told everyone to take their seats. As they walked off, Ember saw Gray leaning up against the teacher's desk. He was still looking at her. Ember just sat back down and looked back out the window again. The teacher introduced him as Gray but Ember felt the name didn't fit and she was normally good at guessing people's names.
She shook herself and thought 'it doesn't matter.' Ember got to thinking about the wolves and how Koda wasn't with them. She knew she hadn't seen them in a long time, but she figured he'd be with them. The sound of the chair next to her moving made her look up as Gray sat down next to her. She looked around to see if there were any other seats. There were other seats so why did he sit next to her she wondered.
Gray folded her picture up and sat it on her desk. She left it alone and drew until the bell rang for them to go to their next class, she left it on her desk thinking it was a note asking about the wolves she left before him. He picked it up and put it in his pocket. He figured he would try to give it back to her later. He then saw he was in her next class too, he sat next to her again and he laid the picture back on her desk but this time he wrote you forgot this on the front. She did the same as the last class before they knew what happened.
The bell rang and school was out. She left the picture again and once again he put it in his pocket.
