Gray nodded and said, "basically yes and like I said, you can deny a claim that's up to you." Ember smiled and said, "no I think it's fine like this. but you need to teach me the rules so I don't break them." Gray was happy and surprised she had accepted but he was worried she would misunderstand and think they saw her as a part of their property. she walked over to him and asked, "what's wrong?" he looked at her and said, "you know we have never seen you as anything less than one of our pack members right."

Ember smiled and said, "I know I have never felt like I wasn't with you guys. this just makes it to where everyone else knows I'm a part of your pack" Gray smiled and relaxed a little and Ember said, "come on let's sit and just relax a little." he smiled and moved to sit with her on the bed. she leaned against him and he said, "you know we would still protect you even if you deny the claim right." Ember smiled and said, "I know.''

As she fell asleep in his arms, happy in the thought, she was his in at least one way. He held her close, happy she understood and wanted the claim to stay. He fell asleep with her safe in his arms. panic shot through Ember as something told her they had to get to sanctuary. She grabbed the sword and made a portal without thinking as Gray asked, "where are you going?"

Gray was worried he could tell something was wrong with Ember but he didn't know what. She looked at him as she said, "sanctuary." she didn't feel she had time to explain she dropped the sword and ran in Gray grabbed the pack and followed her. When she got there, she saw a large number of shifters gathered around the water. The water had turned black something was definitely wrong then something was attacking anyone who got near the water.
