 Jack explained that Mike had a death wish then told her about the first time Ember met Mike, how Gray nearly killed Mike but Ember stopped him, and how the pack still keeps him away from her because of this. Gray walked in then and asked, Mike as soon as he saw him, "what are you doing here while I'm gone? You know you're not allowed in here." you could hear the anger in Gray's voice though he tried really hard to keep it out of his voice. Kayla flinched; she wasn't used to hearing such anger from Gray. Ember said, "he said, he had come to check on me and now he's leaving."

Mike started to argue when Gray grabbed him by the collar and threw him out. Jack shook his head and said, "he just won't learn will he. though I was expecting Koda to nearly kill him again." Ember ignored Jack and walked over to Gray who was still mad about Mike being here. She made him look at her and said, "it's fine the pack members you left kept him away and if by some crazy scenario he got past them Jack was still here with Kayla and I can fight now. I'm sure we could have kicked his ass."

Gray smiled down at Ember and wrapped his arms around her as he said, "I'm sure you could but I would rather do that myself. He's lucky he's Pete's son or I wouldn't be holding back." Ember laughed a little, Gray kissed Ember, and Kayla pulled them back to the real world as she said, "wow you two are something else it's like you forget anyone around you when you're close enough to one another." Ember smiled and said, "sorry can't help it." Kayla just shook her head as Anna and Kojak laughed; Gray tried to hide his laugh. They went home after that and things went back to normal. They went back to school and Ember went over to hang out at Gray's after school and he would walk her home.
