different and they felt it as soon as they entered Evelyn asked, "where's your sister Kayla?" Ember asked, "what do you mean is she not home yet?" Evelyn looked at Ember and said, "she went out looking for you after we got home and found you still weren't back." Ember said, "I'll go get her. I think I know where she went anyway."

Gray went with Ember as they followed Kayla's tracks. As they came to the gate, Ember found her theory to be true and fear caught hold of her. She knew there was supposed to be a storm tonight and Kayla might get lost. That's when Ember saw Nanook sitting at the edge of the forest and ran out the fence to her before anyone could stop her. She called to Nanook "take me to Kayla." Gray followed Ember as Nanook turned and took off in the direction of Kayla's tracks.

Ember followed close behind Nanook. The snowstorm hit sooner than they thought it would. Gray lost track of Ember when they got caught up in it. He turned back to get his sled he knew he would need it as he came in, he explained everything to his grandma and got everything set up as he headed out to find Ember, he was worried about her. as he was looking for Ember, he found Kayla.

He could tell it was Kayla when he saw her. He was worried about Ember, but he knew he couldn't fit both of them in the sled at once. He wanted to keep looking for Ember, but he knew he should get Kayla home in case Ember needed to ride in the sled. So, he took Kayla back first and hoped Ember came back while he was gone. on the way back he decided he needed to get a bigger sled in case something like this happens again. He knew it was unlikely, but he hoped she had.

When he got back to her house, he saw she wasn't there. He brought Kayla in and sat her next to
