Gray needed to teach her how to use the sword so she told him her idea. He looked at her for a second and said, "okay we can start tomorrow."
Anna said, "I don't think this is a good idea." Gray then said, "the sword has chosen her it only makes sense she knows how to use it." Anna nodded and said, "You're right but I still don't like this idea, what if she gets hurt. she has had no training at all." Gray then said, "we'll use wooden swords to practice and move up to real." Anna agreed and they went outside with a couple wooden swords the next morning and Gray began teaching Ember.
Jack came out throwing a fit about Gray teaching her instead of him teaching her. He didn't think a hunter's daughter should learn to fight from a shifter. Ember told him "I don't want to learn from you I want to learn from Gray." then Gray said, "I have an idea how about me and jack fight and whoever wins can teach you." Jack agreed Ember was reluctant but had confidence that Gray would win so she let them decide however they thought was best. as they fought Ember watched after several minutes Gray won. He knew he would but Jack was stronger than he thought.
Gray smiled and said, "that was a good fight but it looks like I'll be training her." Jack was not happy but agreed. He didn't leave though he just watched after they went in and ate, they went to bed. Once again, they slept with Ember leaning against Gray and his arm around her, Anna slept on the couch. The next morning, they began training again.
