fell asleep. Gray heard the door open and someone pulling out a sword he caught Jack's sent and Gray grabbed his sword quickly to block the attack he could since coming. Ember was woken up by Gray moving when she opened her eyes Gray had used his sheath to block Jack's sword. Jack was clearly aiming for Gray but by that point Ember had moved in the way.

Ember was mad as she yelled "what are you doing?" Jack moved back by this point the whole pack came in. Jack was the first to ask, "why is he asleep in the bed with you?" Ember looked at Jack and said, "because I asked, him to. I've been having nightmares and Gray was sitting with me I guess we fell asleep. what does it matter to you anyway?" Jack said, "I'm supposed to protect you."

Ember glared at him and said, "if that's what you're supposed to do then stop trying to control me, stop trying to take me away from my friends who I trust to protect me, and just stop acting like a crazy person. I'm safe with my friends. I trust them. I don't know anything about you except that you want to control me and find a reason to kill my friends. I only know your name because Gray told me." Jack was mad he didn't understand how a hunter's daughter could trust a shifter so completely. He had always been taught that shifters and other creatures can't be trusted. He looked at her as he said, "you know his name is Koda why do you insist on calling him Gray?" Ember shrugged and said, "if I call him Gray when he's human and Koda when he's a wolf I'm less likely to call him Koda in front of anyone who doesn't know. Meaning it's less likely I give away their secret especially considering my whole family knows what names I call the pack. it's too dangerous for me to get comfortable calling him Koda."
