came out, she noticed the door was locked and Gray was laying down on her bed. she smiled and walked over and joined him as she whispered, "next time wait till I text you."
he smiled and kissed her before they fell asleep. The next morning Evelyn was beating at Ember's door demanding to know why it was locked. Gray kissed Ember and used a portal to escape after the portal closed Owen brought the key to Ember's room and they came right in. Ember rubbed her eyes still tired as Evelyn searched her room and Ember asked, "are you looking for anything in particular?"
Evelyn got mad and demanded, "why was that door locked?" and Ember shrugged and said, "habit, I guess. The man we were staying with had a son who liked to come into my room while I slept. so, I began locking my door. It was that or let Gray kill him." it wasn't all a lie it just wasn't the truth either. Evelyn glared at her and said, "don't lock your door again." Ember simply said, "I can't promise that I won't." Ember thought 'we are going to have to set the alarm earlier.'
her alarm went off a minute later she smiled at it and shut it off then got ready for school. When Gray came out of the portal Anna was in his room. she smiled and asked, "how was Ember?" Gray smiled and said, "no nightmares." Anna smiled and said, "that's good but if you two get caught you're on your own on this one."
Gray nodded and Anna said, "you better get ready for school and eat before you leave." Gray said, "okay I will." Anna left him alone; he couldn't keep the smile off his face as he thought about how close they were to being caught this morning as he got ready for school. when Ember was almost done Kayla came in and
