Owen was still trying to process everything that just happened and Angela was still mad that they found out her secret. Angela then asked, "why are you taking this so well Kayla? you just found out your sister is a shifter. your dad can barely process it." Kayla smiled and said, "Ember told me after we got home that day, we found out she was claimed by Gray." Evelyn got mad and said, "you had your powers back then and you didn't tell us." Ember said, "you were lying to me my whole life, you don't get to get mad at me the only one who has a good reason to be mad is dad, and I couldn't tell him because he would've told you and I didn't want you to know, and besides if grandma can see the seal is gone now, she should have seen it then."
Angela said, "I did but I didn't want to believe it." Jack then asked, "So when you came in that day with the fur coat on it wasn't a gift from Gray's family was it?" Ember smiled and said, "no it wasn't." Gray then said, "we thought it was better if you thought we gave it to her sorry but we couldn't risk you putting it in one of your reports." Jack nodded and said, "your right I probably would have it was a good call."
Gray said, "we should probably get back, you left in the middle of a meeting with the council. They are not too happy right now." Ember smiled and said, "sorry I just had to ask her myself." he smiled and said, "I know they told me they were talking about your family but I came here almost immediately after that, I didn't wait to find out what they were talking about. I was just concerned they would try and send you back to that place again." Ember smiled and said, "So we're both in trouble then because you left them too." He
