why else go through the trouble of bringing me here alive?" He smiled as he said, "smart girl. no, I'm not going to kill you just help you sleep."
he pulled the trigger and a dart hit her in the arm he hung up the phone. He threw the phone on the bed and left the room as she passed out. Meanwhile Gray ran as fast as he could. He found the place a little after the call ended. Anna said, "let's try this way."
The invisible pull was telling Gray to go in a different direction so he followed it. The rest of the pack went with Anna. He came to a room with a cage in it. As he looked in the cage, he could see someone lying on the floor of it. Panic ran through him as he ran to see if it was Ember.
As he got closer, he could see it was. She was lying on the floor with blood in her hair and some pooling on the floor next to her. The door was unlocked so he ran in knowing it was probably a trap, but he needed to check on her when he got to her, he moved her to the bed nearby and wrapped her head in bandages to slow the bleeding. After he was done, he covered her with his coat. He couldn't move her too far just yet.
He didn't know how hurt she was and he couldn't protect her and carry her out. He needed to wait for the pack and Anna to find them. After a little bit he reached up and moved a strand of hair out of her face when he did, she flinched and woke up. He apologized but was a little relieved she was awake. She said, "it's fine."
Ember tried to set up but began to fall. He moved quickly and caught her. He helped her to lay back down. He was worried about her as he asked, "where does it hurt?" she reached for her head.
