Chapter 6
He didn't want to deal with this now, not when she was in danger. Gray knew he needed to get her out of here first, Ember stood up and asked, "Is it true?" After a few moments she said, "answer me!" Then a sharp pain hit her, sending her back to the floor. Gray turned and caught her.
Ember was still cold and shivered in his arms. He sat her down gently and draped his coat around her. His coat was a white fur coat that went to his ankles as he wrapped it around Ember, it covered her almost completely. He was so worried about her she was freezing and hurt. Gray couldn't keep the surprise off his face as he glanced at Ember.
Gray didn't understand why it made sense to her. Ember looked up at him as she smiled and said, "your eyes are the same color, you're just as stubborn and protective. I'm surprised I didn't think about it before now. I mean even my drawings and dreams knew, So why didn't I?" he asked, "can we talk about this later?" As Demetrius attacked Gray blocked. Gray was happy she seemed to be taking this well right now but he was worried she wouldn't be okay with it later.
