Chapter 7
Gray noticed and said, "if you're tired why don't you take a nap?" she said, "I'm fine." she didn't want to have another one of those nightmares. Gray was worried she looked so tired so he said, "just take a nap if you start to have another nightmare, I'll wake you up." She looked at her parent's car and knew they were far enough away that with the glare on the windshield they wouldn't be able to see in the truck so she leaned against Gray and got settled it was the place she felt the safest.
Gray put his arm around her, happy that she felt safe with him next to her as she started to doze off. it wasn't long before she was out. It was a dreamless sleep when Gray woke her up, they were almost there. He smiled at her and asked, "did you enjoy your nap?" she smiled a little and said, "well I didn't have a nightmare, so it was better than the last time I slept." He smiled and said, "well we're here."
She set up and rubbed her eyes as they got out as they went to the back of his truck. Gray drew his sword and pulled the two halves apart. He put them in two different sheaths. He slipped one in her bag and left the other in the truck. she looked at him and he said, "you need some protection and I'm not going to be here to do that so I'm leaving this with you."
Ember nodded but said nothing as he gathered Kayla's and her stuff as he said, "this sword is also going to act as your escape root if someone attack's I want you to take the sword and draw a circle on the wall while thinking of a safe place it will open a portal to that place then get your sister and grandma out of there just make sure you are the last through or it will close before they get through okay." she nodded and said,
