Alice looked at Ember as Ember looked away and watched Gray fight shaking her head. Alice then said, "I see what you mean. I'm sorry I wish I could help." Ember smiled at her and said, "don't worry I'll make them see eventually." Ember knew Alice could tell what Ember felt for Gray even if Ember couldn't say It aloud. Alice came over and hugged Ember and whispered "I'm sure he feels the same. I'm his friend too but he didn't come after me, just you and I've never seen him as concerned as he was for anyone except you. He also protects you and is happy around you. In the short time you two were next to one another I could see that much."
Alice pulled away and Ember smiled and said, "thank you." Alice moved back to the rest of the girls and Ember went back to keeping an eye on Gray. After they were all freed Gray came back to Ember. The shifters that had just been freed and had turned their sights on Ember, Pete, and Jack. The shifters were angry that hunters were there and started heading their way.
