is Anna. Gray, can I speak with you a minute?" He said, "I'll be right back."

Ember nodded and Gray's grandma said, "young lady, how about you come chat with me." Gray said, "Grandma, this is Ember." she watched him leave and said, "well the offer still stands." Ember walked in and sat on the sofa next to her rocker. Gray's grandma started talking and Ember was doing well at holding the conversation but at some point, she fell asleep.

When Gray walked into the kitchen his mom Anna said, "she can't be here." Before she could finish Gray cut her off and said, "is it because of the memories you erased?" she was a little shocked as she said, "I did that to protect you two. both of you were too young to understand you couldn't see each other for a while and it was becoming dangerous for you two." he shook his head and said, "we could have figured something out. Did you know they were using the pack to control her and keep her here?" Anna looked down and said, "yes I was told by Ember a long time ago that's why I kept you and the other young ones away from the town until now."

he ran his hand threw his hair and said, "we could have done something different. how much does she remember?" Anna said, "she remembers playing with the pack and some of her being rescued. I never feared her telling anyone just that I couldn't keep you two apart. That was the safest option me and your dad came up with." Gray looked at his mom and said, "did you know she had been isolated in this town?" Anna nodded and said, "it was still safer this way." He left the room when he got to the living room, he saw Ember asleep on the couch.
