asked, "so why did you really have your door locked?" Ember shrugged and said, "I told you guys, habit."
Kayla smiled and whispered, "Gray was here, wasn't he? why else would you lock your door, and not answer mom when she started banging on the door?" Ember could feel her cheeks turn a little red and Kayla said, "I knew it." quietly Ember explained "we found out we both sleep better when the other is nearby. So, we agreed to sleep like that." Kayla smiled and said, "Whatever, tell me what you want?" Ember rolled her eyes and they finished getting ready for school.
When they got there Gray was waiting for Ember. he smiled and asked, "did you sleep well?" Kayla said, "I'm sure she slept just fine next to you." Gray looked at Ember and raised an eyebrow in question Ember said, "she figured it out I didn't tell her." Gray nodded and Kayla laughed as Jack walked up and asked, "what's so funny?" Kayla smiled and said, "I don't know any more I got distracted." she walked over to him and said, "why don't we go see what your schedule is and I can show you to your classes."
Ember smiled at Kayla as she got Jack away from them. Ember took Gray's arm not caring who saw them together now that Evelyn and Owen knew it was pointless. Gray walked her to her classes and on lunch they hid behind the building trying to avoid Jack. Kayla kept Jack distracted most of the day. After school they went to the extra class and found Jack was in it.
Gray was called to defend and he chose Emberto protect like always. Jack was the one he was going up against. Gray smiled, they hadn't fought in a while and he was excited for the fight. Ember moved back knowing she was in the way. The teacher tried to tell
