Dressed in a black hoodie, dark blue denim pants and sneakers, Ajax struggled to climb the stairs to his apartment. He then took the keys from his pants' front pocket and inserted it into the keyhole, but he dropped it. And, when he tried to reach for it on the concrete floor, he banged his forehead against the copper doorknob.
After he grabbed the keys on the floor, he rested his head against the door, took hold of the doorknob with his left hand, and, as he tried to fit the key in the hole using his other hand, suddenly, he stopped and fell asleep while standing.
The street was abandoned, except for a stray cat that ran from one side of the road to the other. The weather was cold, as the soft wind continued to blow. Then, the streetlights began to flicker, as someone's footsteps on the steel stairs could be heard.
A young man wearing a black leather jacket, black denim pants, and mid-cut black boots was climbing the stairs. Once, he reached the second floor, he walked behind Ajax. The young man neared his mouth to Ajax's right ear.
"Wake up." He said plainly, as his breath could be seen due to the coldness of the night.
Ajax regained consciousness, he continued to open the door. Once, he was able, he stepped inside the apartment and closed the door behind him. He, then, removed his shoes and walked straight to the refrigerator, knelt on the wooden floor as he opened the fridge door, grabbed a bottle of water, and drank it greedily. He then put the empty bottle back inside the fridge before closing it and crawled a few steps away from the fridge. He then sat on the floor with his back against the bed.
"Tomorrow... will be... a better day." He mumbled as he laid on the wooden floor and fell asleep.
The light from the streetlamp shone inside Ajax's apartment, as he slept on the floor. The young man, from a few minutes ago, knelt before him and looked at Ajax's face.
"What in the world happened to you?" The mysterious young man who was dressed in all black softly said as he touched Ajax's smooth soft white cheek.
