Inside the study chamber of the king of the Phoenix clan, the esquire announced the arrival of the twin knights. The door opened and immediately the twins knelt before the king.
"Forgive us, your Highness." Wren and Tryk said in unison. "We failed to find the High General of the Forest clan."
"Stand up, my dear twins." King Nike said. "There is nothing to forgive. The High General of the Forest clan is already locked away in the dungeon of Nuraghe."
The twin knights stood with a confused look on their faces.
"Rest your minds at ease." The king of Phoenix clan read the twin knights thoughts. "It is over."
King Nike walked pass the twins heading to the door. He stopped before he opened the door.
"Do me a favor." King Nike said. "Please go to Prince Rowan and tell him it's time for him and our soldiers to come home. Peace has been restored."
"Yes, your Highness!" Wren and Tryk bowed as the king left the study chamber.
The king was accompanied by two esquires as he walked the hallway of the palace leading to his resting chamber. There were two guards outside the king's resting room. The guards opened the door and another esquire was waiting inside the bedroom of King Nike.
As soon as the door closed, the esquire approached the king and helped him removed his robe.
"Your Highness," The esquire began to say. "Prince Helios wants to tell you that he and the prince of the Vatr clan are safe. In fact, there are with his Majesty Henry in the Canyon of a Thousand Echo."
King Nike turned around and looked at the esquire.
Bluebutterflies began to flew around the esquire covering him from head to foot. When the butterflies disappeared, the esquire turned into Addy.
