"Do you deny these accusations?" The High Council asked.
"Yes." King L'Nykt said casually.
"Duly noted." The High Council said. "We will start with King Nike as he is the one who filed this issue to the Council." The High Council continued. "What sayeth you?"
"Based on the eyewitness account, it was Prince North of the Vatr clan and the High General of the Forest clan who abducted my son, the first prince of the Phoenix clan, Helios in the Field of the Fireflies." King Nike said.
"And, where is the person who witnessed the so-called 'abduction'?" King L'Nykt asked.
"Please refrain from using the word 'abduct' or 'abduction' in this court as we have not yet proven if such event did happen. Please use the word 'disappear' instead." The High Council said. "Please the queston King Nike, where is your witness?"
"He escaped." King Nike replied.
Noise broke in the circular court as the watchers discussed their thoughts on what King Nike had said.
"Silence." The High Council said. "Without a witness that statement cannot be admitted as evidence in this case."
"I am aware of that, your High Council." King Nike said. "To prove that Prince North was present during Prince Helios disappearance, Prince Luca, the ring please."
Prince Luca stood up and walked in the middle of the circular court. He stood between the kings. He, then, took out the ring that Regent Iollan gave him.
"This is the stone of Iolite," Prince Luca began to say as he held the ring and showed it to everyone. "This is also known as the water sapphire."
King L'Nykt eyes bulge wide opened when he saw the ring. He only saw the ring once and that was after his son was born which he immediately placed in the Dragon's Chamber.
"And, how can you be sure that ring belongs to Prince North?" The High Council asked Prince Luca.
