118. Part III: In the canyon of a thousand echoes

Suddenly, Helios became unconscious.

"Addy, Oisin, I need you to step away from us." North said. "We have no time waste. The poison is spreading fast."

Oisin and Addy did as North had requested.

Addy stood beside Henry. Though, his facial expression do not show it, Addy could see the worrisome look in Henry's eyes. He held Henry's left hand and Henry smiled at him.

North placed his right hand on Helios' left shoulder. He closed his eyes for a bit and when he opened it, his eyes were glowing in deep sapphire. Then, from the tips of his fingers, clear water began to flow and cascade on Helios' flesh.

Each moment was agonizing for the unconscious Helios as he groaned in pain.

"It is working." Addy said.

Henry and Oisin could see as well the green cobwebs retracting from Helios' flesh. After a few minutes, all the green roots that implanted itself on Helios' body vanished.

North still continued to counter the effect of the poison arrow. Then, Henry, Addy and Oisin saw the arrowhead began to wiggle from Helios' flesh.

Helios, suddenly, opened his eyes and arched his head backwards as the tip of the arrowhead was pulled out from his flesh. His piercing tormented cry resonated inside the cave. After that, Helios collapsed his head on North's shoulder.

The wound from his back healed and no scar remained. Helios' face was the face of serenity as he continued to rest from exhaustion and pain.

North, then, placed his right hand on Helios right leg and immediately the wound disappeared. He, then, put his right hand on his chest and the wound he had received from his father disappear as well.

North's eye stopped glowing and returned to normal. So, did his hand.

"Everything is okay, now." North began to say. "Helios is out of danger. He is just resting due to exhaustion." North continued to say as he gently laid Helios' head on his lap.

Once, Helios head was resting on North's lap, Helios changed his position and slept comfortable on the ground facing the ceiling of the cave.
