109. The star child

"I am you." The younger version Ajax said.

"You are not me."

The younger Ajax looked at Ajax for a bit. And, then, he laughed. The child changed its form and grew taller as tall as Ajax. He had the same physique as Ajax. However, he had no face.

"What gave me away?"

"I don't know. I just felt that you are not who you claim you are to be."

"I am very impressed. You were able to discern that I am not you."

"Who the hell are you then?

"I am the Star Child."

"The Star Child?"

"I am an primordial being from Adamah."

"Where is that?"

"Adamah is a world much similar to your world."

"Are we in Adamah?"

"No. Like what I said earlier, this is the Land of Hypnos."

"Was it you who brought me here?"

"Yes and no." The Star Child said. "The answer to that question is a bit complicated."

"Okay then. Answer this." Ajax asked the Star Child. "What do you want from me?"

"You are not only perceptive, Ajax." The Star Child was pleased with Ajax's directness. "You certainly go straight to the point." He paused. "I brought you here so we can become one."

"What do you mean?"

"You are my vessel."

"Vessel?"

"I am pure energy. I need a flesh to be reborn into - a vessel. My world is dying. It is my fate to prevent that from happening."

"Why me?"

"Because it is your fate to be my vessel."

"Can you not find someone else?"

"No. A vessel only comes once every millions of years."

"What if I refuse? What are you going to do?"

"I have no choice but take you by force." The Star Child said. "It would be best if you cooperate. This is for the greater good of my people. As well as Earth's people."

Ajax eyes widened upon hearing this. He knew that his life would be on the line. But, he never thought that Earth was part of the equation.
