Ajax lives a mundane life.
Then, one day, he meets North.
And, it seems they are starting to fall in love.
The problem is that only Ajax can see North.
A supernatural boy's love story.
"Oisin, wake up." North said as he shook Oisin. "Oisin ... Oisin ... "
Oisin eyelids slowly opened. He saw North's face hovering on his face in close proximity.
"What happened?"
Oisin asked as slowly sat up. He felt tried and disoriented.
"Take it easy," Helios said.
Helios was standing beside North. The rest of their companions in the cave stood around Oisin.
"Are you okay?" North said.
"I am okay." Oisin said.
The boys returned to their seats on the ground and around the bonfire.
No one dare to speak about their encounter with the Ancient One, yet. It seemed that everyone was trying to figure out what the Ancient One meant about their mission and their role in it.
Oisin observed his companions. A few minutes back, everyone seemed lively. Now, the sound of the rain outside and the burning wood seemed deafening to Oisin.
"North," Oisin began. "What happened?"
"The Ancient One happened." North replied.
"What?"
"The Ancient One ... "
North could not exactly find the words how to explain it Oisin what happened.
" ... well ... he kinda took over your body ... and ..."
"Geez, North," Henry butted in. "Look Oisin, the Ancient One possessed your body and gave Helios, North and me some cryptic messages."
Henry paused. Then, he looked at North. "Now, was that hard to explain?"
Everyone looked at each other and then burst in laughter. Somehow, the way when Henry's explained it, his facial expression and body movements, seemed comical.
Henry could not understand what was so funny. And, the boys began horsing around.
Luca smiled as he watched them. He thought, perhaps, this kind of childishness and nonsensical attics was what the boys needed at that moment.
Luca looked at the boys, one by one, with great pride and respect. He knew that after they leave the cave, the weight of what these boys had done, what they were about to do and how to live up to the duties of what they must do, was something that no one should carry.
