34. Captive

"It is useless to escape from here."

North was startled when he heard Thorn's voice. Immediately, he followed where the voice came from and saw Thorn sitting on the chair where the light bulb was.

"Who are you?" North said as he stood up from the floor. "How did you get in here?"

"You are kidding right?" Thorn replied.

North seemed more confused than ever. "Should I know you?" He paused before speaking again. "Do you know who I am?"

Thorn looked thoughtfully at North.

"Please do tell. I can't remember anything except my name."

North stopped talking as he walked towards Thorn. He tried to touch Thorn's hand by his hand simply passed right through it.

"What am I?"

North cried in frustration as he knelt before Thorn.

"Listen,"

The officer began to say to Ajax.

"You have two options. You could stay here. It is safe since I have an officer guarding your place by the door. Well, in this case, lack of a door that is. We could not find a repairman this late. Or, you could stayover, perhaps, a family or friend's place."

"I understand, officer. But, I would like to stay."

"Okay then."

"Is there anything else you need from me?"

"We're all good. I'm just going to give Officer Santiago here additional instructions."

Ajax left the police officers to discuss whatever they needed to talk about.

He took his wallet out from his pants and put it on the table. He, then, removed his hoodie along with his shirt. He surveyed his apartment. Everything seemed to be in order except for the broken door lying on the floor.

Officer Santiago entered the apartment.

"Can I borrow this chair?" Santiago asked as he intently looked at Ajax's naked upper torso.

"Sure." Ajax replied. "If you need anything, please let me I'm just going to take shower."

Ajax, then, headed to the bathroom.

Officer Santiago bit his lower lip as he gawked at Ajax's bubble butt. The bulge in this pants seemed to had become more prominent.
