The tale of this esquire was very peculiar as it did not adhere to the tradition of election for the esquire to obtained the said rank, much more to be the servant of a prince.
It was the year that passed, during the fête of Amethystos when Prince Helios had chosen this esquire.
On the day that Prince Helios was supposedly abducted by Prince North of the Vatr clan and High General Oisin of the Forest clan, the said esquire was with escorting the prince.
However, there was different version of what had happened the day the Prince Helios disappeared.
Prince Helios and the esquire, indeed, left the palace of the Phoenix just as the sun had retired from the horizon. However, they did not go to the Field of the Fireflies.
As they entered the forest just about less than mile from the castle, they entered a portal that led them to a backroad near the castle of the Vatr. Upon their arrival, they were met by Prince North.
Prince North gave the esquire the Iolite ring before the esquire returned to the palace of the Phoenix, alone.
When he sought an audience before King Nike, he told his tale of how the prince was abducted by the prince of the Vatr clan who colluded with the High General of the Forest clan.
The clever esquire had the king believed that his tale was true. The king ordered his men headed by his youngest son to sought the prince in the Field of the Fireflies.
As they searched for the older prince and evidence of the crime, the esquire stayed close to the younger prince and enchanted him into believing that he had found the ring in the field, well, in fact, the esquire just gave it to the younger prince.
The wise king, then, placed the esquire on house arrest, in the east tower of the castle until the matter was resolved.
The younger prince seemed to had found fallacies in the tale of esquire. Thus, the younger prince went to the tower to find the truth. However, when he got there, the esquire mysteriously disappeared.
While the younger prince tried to think how the esquire escaped his confinement with guards outside the door, he failed to notice the butterfly by the window.
After the prince left the tower, the butterfly flew away and then disappeared.
The butterfly ended up in a cave in the Canyon of a Thousand Echoes. Once inside, the butterfly transformed into the esquire.
He, then, went to the deeper part chamber of the cave.
"Your Majesty, it is done." The esquire knelt before young king of the Aeolian clan, Henry.
"Well done." Henry said as he went to the esquire.
The esquire stood before his king. Henry, then, kissed the esquire. After their kiss, the esquire returned to his true form.
"I miss you, Addy." Henry said.
