Chapter 38: Strike

I smile walking over to Jades car. She gets out of her car and looks at me smiling back.

"Hey!" She says shutting her car door.

"You found it eventually then?" I chuckle.

She makes a face, locking her car.

"Yeah well I don't travel far and this place is ages away." She smirks.

"You're lucky me and Jamie didn't just leave without you."

"I'm not that late am I?!"

"No I'm kidding." I giggle. "I'm glad you came."

"Me too." She smiles. "I get to see where you've been studying and living!" She looks around and looks up at the University building. "Looks fancy. Very posh."

"Its not posh." I frown and laugh softly.

"It looks posh." She laughs. "I bet everyone around here is so brainy. Is there a lot of snobs?"

"No actually." I shake my head. "Everyone is pretty normal I guess." I giggle. "Most of them just like partying."

"Oh." She nods.

She walks beside me as we walk through campus.

"Jamie was ok with me coming bowling with you guys?" She asks.

"Yeah. He is really nice. You'll get along with him."

"I'm excited to meet him and your housemates." She grins.

I roll my eyes and smile.

"Try not to flirt with them too much. Becky and Holly are straight."

"I'll try." She chuckles.

"I thought you had a girlfriend anyway? I'm sorry I haven't asked about you and her recently."

She sighs and shrugs.

"Its ok."

I lower my eyebrows.

"You still with her?"

"No, we broke up a few weeks ago."

"Oh, I'm sorry." I frown. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"Because we wasnt together that long, and I actually wasnt that upset about it. Me and her just didnt work out."

I nod slowly.

"Well you still could have told me?"

"You've got your own stuff going on." She shakes her head. "It wasn't important."

I give her a look.

"We're friends. It doesn't matter how much stuff is going on in my life, I am still here for you."

She smiles.

"I know, but honestly I'm fine. Theres plenty more girls out there for me."

I laugh lightly.

"So what is going on with you anyway Al? We haven't spoken properly since you told me about... you know who."

I look at her.

"Yeah... well... a lot has happened since our chat."

She raises her eyebrows.

"I knew it would happen." She smirks and shakes her head.

"What?" I ask, acting dumb.

She gives me a look and scoffs.

"You've had sex with him haven't you?"
