I open the car door and get in with a big smile on my face.

"There you are." Michael sighs looking a bit worried. "I was just about to go look for you."

"Oh, sorry i-"

"Are you ok?" He asks, wondering if something had happened.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just won this." I smile and hold up the stuffed teddy.

Michael's face softens and a smile slowly creeps across his face.

"So that's what took you so long?" He laughs softly.

"I wanted to win it for you." I laugh and put on my seatbelt.

"How many goes did it take?" He raises his eyebrows.

"Only two." I smirk. "You might be good at bowling, but I'm better at arcade games."

He smiles and shakes his head.

"You were ages in there. The food has probably gone cold."

"Oh yeah, sorry." I frown.

"Don't worry." He smiles and starts the car up. "I love the toy. Thank you." He chuckles.

I smile and tuck my hair behind my ear.

"Guess who I saw..."

He lowers his eyebrows and puts the car in to reverse.

"Who?"

"Jamie."

Michael stops and looks at me.

"Jamie?" He says, sounding surprised.

"Yeah." I nod. "He was with Ryan..."

"Oh..." Michael stares at me.

"Ryan didn't speak to me which I'm glad about. I'm not sure he even knew I was there."

"So Jamie spoke to you?" Michael suddenly sounds a bit annoyed...

"Uh, yeah..." I nod. "I had to pass him after I came out of the toilets and he saw me and said hi."

"Hi? Is that all he said?"

I lower my eyebrows. I didn't think Michael would be like this about it?

"Well, no. We-"

"That's why you were so long? You were talking to him."

"He started talking to me, I couldn't just ignore him. He was my friend at one point Michael." I give him a look.

He seals his lips together and looks away.

"What's wrong?" I frown.

"Nothin." He shakes his head and locks his jaw.

Clearly there is...

"We didn't talk for that long." I shake my head.

"So what did you talk about?" He looks back at me.

"Just normal stuff. He asked how I've been..." I shrug. "He said he saw us."

Michael stares at me.

"And I told him we're married." I smile.

"I bet he loved hearing that?" Michael smirks.

I give him a look.

"He was really happy for me actually."

"Oh, really?" Michael raises his eyebrows, sounding sarcastic.

I choose to ignore his sarcasm.

"He's been wanting to apologise to me for what happened between us. He feels guilty about me trying to kill myself and not talking to me afterwards..."
