The party was at its climax, but Danny and Abiagil - after countless failed attempts to get at least one drink - had retreated to play 'I spy'. A bit childish but that's how they were treated at the party after all. It turned out that Tony, Elisha, Sadie and Danny had been brought in to erase the memory of Abigail's powers. That's why they suddenly hadn't been afraid of her when the two of them had come at her one night. But he had discovered a special potential in Danny, and became Tony's intern, so to speak. "I spy something you don't, and it starts with O," Abigail began a new round, smiling a winning smile at him. "Ehh," he thought strained and scanned the room with his eyes to find a matching item with O. "Dude, come on, it's easy," she teased him, making him even more aware that he had no chance of coming up with it. "I don't know! It's hard. Come on, tell me," he groaned, pulling his nose up. But he would never know what this mysterious object was, as a loud scream silenced the music and all conversation froze. "ABIGAIL!!!" it resounded through the room and all eyes were on the shocked redhead. Alarmed, not only herself, but Natasha had risen to her feet. "Dad?..." she whispered in a choked voice. It had been twelve years since she had last seen him and she couldn't claim to have missed him. "What the hell are you doing here?!" he shouted at her in the same tone as when he had said his last words to her. This painful memory brought tears to her eyes, which she immediately blinked away. She had only been five years old, but those memories had left such deep scars that she would probably never forget that trauma. "I-" she began to stutter, but he didn't wait for an answer and instead he grabbed her by the arm and dragged her outside of the tower. Natasha was immediately on the spot and ran after them. She clutched Abigail's waist as if it was the most important thing in the world to her. "Stay away from her!" she yelled at him, and even with her dress and high heels on, Abigail knew her father wouldn't stand a chance if it came to a fair fight. "Stay out of this! She's not your daughter, is she?" Her hands now disengaged from her waist and she now pushed Abigail behind her. Her whole body had tensed and she was ready to fight. "She's not going with you." she screamed between clenched teeth and raised her fists. He did the same, but not to fight her but to push her aside. Natasha cursed herself at that moment and the fact that she should have chosen the three inches lower shoes after all. He tried to reach for Abigail but she was faster and ran away. With two quick kicks, she shot the shoes off her feet and ran after them into the darkness of New York.
