Together with Steve, Abigail went back to the headquarters and together they bumped into Natasha who was staring mesmerized against the wall while her back was to the two of them. An incredible number of things were going around in her head. What would happen to the Avengers now that Tony, Thor and Bruce were gone? Would they finally manage to control and being able to access Abigail's full potential? She was stopped from continuing to rack her brains over questions that were unanswerable at the moment anyway by two newcomers. "Do you want to keep staring at the wall, or you want to get to work? I mean it's a really interesting wall." The redhead turned to them and managed a small smile. She, too, was incredibly upset by the loss of a faithfully cherished team member, even if she wasn't the person to openly express such a thing. And then there was the story with Bruce. He had disappeared after he had safely dropped her off on the ferry. Even with a video call she couldn't get him to come back. To come back to her. He ended the call and since then he had disappeared without a trace. "I thought you and Tony were still looking deep into each other's eyes. Where do we stand?" she asked speaking in her old perky way. "Well, we're not the Yankees of 27," Steve answered her, handing her a tablet with the names of the new generation of Avengers on it. Together they walked down a glassy hallway toward a large double door. "Some punch men we have," Nat countered, lowering her hand with the tablet. "They're good, but they're not a team."

"Let's get them in shape." When the door was opened by Steve, they found themselves in a hangar, while in front of them stood, James Rhodes, Vision, Sam Wilson and Wanda Maximoff. Steve took the floor, "Avengers," and Natasha finished his sentence he started, "assemble." Abigail's lips curled into a soft smile and she caught a glimpse of that same smile on Nat and Steve's faces. When would these two finally understand that they belonged together? The two team leaders divided the existing Avengers into groups to start a first exercise with them. It was now up to Steve and Natasha to train and educate the newcomers on their team during the others' absence. Novanoff, of course, was also there as support, though she was to train herself with her powers. Vision and James, Sam and Steve, and the three ladies formed a group. Wanda and Abigail staged a small practice fight, none but them of course knew about their already past fight at their first meeting in Sokovia. At first Maximoff clearly had the edge, but quickly Abigail gained the upper hand. It was not uncommon for a fireball or beam from either of them to fly into the nearest wall, so Stark had developed a special transparent dome that was sound-permeable but fully protected against the bombardment. This allowed Natasha to watch from the outside without getting hurt but still be able to give orders. Just as the two were hurling at each other again, Abigail suddenly stopped in her evasive movement and received Wanda's beam directly.
