"There you two are!" Ran called when you entered the dining room.

A long wooden table filled the center of the room, a white runner down the middle. The table was already laden with food. Yori sat at the head of the table, while Kogoro and Ran sat to his left. Conan hurried and slid into the seat across from Ran, leaving you to sit to the right of your host.

"You shouldn't be playing around." Ran continued.

"Sorry, Ran." Conan chirped.

"Oh, there's no harm." Yori chuckled softly. "It's been quite some time since the house was this lively. I'm sure my old friend would be overjoyed to see them running around." He glanced down at you, and winked.

Kogoro cleared his throat. "I spent the night looking over the casefile." He started.

"Oh, I'm pleased to see you so diligent, Detective." Yori mused.

Like hell he is. You silently scoffed. He passed out not even ten minutes after entering the room.

"Um, yes. Can you show me where the bodies were found?" Kogoro muttered.

"Of course." Yori nodded.

Kogoro started to stand.

"Ah, but let's wait for the children to finish their breakfast." Yori added. "We wouldn't want to leave them out."

Kogoro scowled. "Why do we have to wait for them?"

"Kids have an interesting perspective of the world." Yori explained. "They have a unique viewpoint that can provide... insight into things otherwise unseen."

Kogoro settled back into his seat, not willing to argue with the intimidating man.

Yori smiled down at you. "Take your time, and eat well. You'll need the energy."

You and Conan hurriedly ate, both eager to see the only known crime scene in the case. When you finished, the four of you followed Yori out the back door and into the garden. It was a clean garden with several stone paths weaving around separated garden beds.

"Currently we're in the English garden." Yori stated. "The bodies were found at the edge of the forest."

"The English garden?" You questioned. "Is there more than one garden?"

"The property covers nearly 100 acres." He explained. "There are gardens styled from various cultures. We have several more including Japanese and French to name a few. We're headed to the boarder of the Japanese garden."

You followed him-- first through the English garden, then what looked like a Spanish garden, before finally moving through the Japanese garden. Just outside the edge of the garden was a dense forest.

He stopped a couple meters into the forest. Strips of yellow crime scene tape still fluttered on the trunks of a few trees. In the center of the small clearing were four deep graves.

Ran paled.

"The cops already cleared the scene, of course, so take your time investigating."

You split off first, moving carefully into the forest. You could feel Conan moving nearby. "I don't see anything like drag marks." You hummed softly.

"There wasn't any mention of it in the casefile either." He added.

"Yeah, with all this groundcover it's no surprise they didn't find footprints either."

"We're most likely looking for someone strong enough to carry a body." Conan noted.

A scent drifted on the wind, sending a chill up your spine. Don't tell me... You sprinted into the forest. Conan shouted after you, but you ignored him.
