After the 'intervention' by Conan and Kaito, you returned to your normal routine. Class, therapy, kids, home. Rinse and repeat. You did your best, but there was only so much you could control. In your chest, you still felt numb, but your fingers felt like they were tingling, like you were constantly touching static. It was a familiar feeling you'd experienced many times before. It made you antsy, and usually when the feeling hit you'd steal something. However, the numbness sapped your usual excitement for the chaos.

When it was starting to become unbearable, there was a reprieve.

A letter arrived.

No sender. Just an address, a small wad of money, and a simple message.

There is evil in this house. Please, save us.

A few days later another note arrived. It bore the same delivery address, and another wad of cash. Instead of a note, there was a newspaper clipping. The obituary of a young woman named Riyo Higashi.

Intrigued by the mystery, Kogoro loaded everyone in the car.

Now, the four of you stood before a manor in Shizuoka.

Kogoro knocked on the door. The door was answered by a man in his 30's with black hair and grey eyes. He wore a patch bandage on his forehead, and had a split lip. "Can I help you?"

"I'm Detective Kogoro Mouri." Kogoro started. "I was asked to come here."

"By who?"

"I'm not sure." Kogoro explained sheepishly as he pulled the letter from his pocket. "I received this letter with an advance payment." He held the letter out to the man. "I suspect it has something to do with the death of a Riyo Higashi."

The man quickly snatched the letter.

"Kaisei, what's the matter?" An old woman entered your line of view. She had similar dark eyes, but silvery hair. She looked to be in her sixties, but she held herself with refinement and grace.

"Just some sick joke." The man, Kaisei, scoffed. "Someone called a detective to investigate us." He stated, holding the letter out for her to see.

Her expression didn't change as she scanned the note. She looked up at the four of you, looking at each of you one by one, before settling her gaze on Kogoro. "Come in."

"Mom!" Kaisei protested.

"I will not have this kind of doubt lingering over my household. Let them come. I have nothing to hide." She stated firmly, before turning back to your group. "Please, come in."

"Ah, thank you." Kogoro bowed his head to the woman as the four of you shuffled inside.

"Now, who do I have the pleasure of speaking with." She asked.

"Oh, I'm Kogoro Mouri, a detective." Kogoro introduced himself again. "This is my daughter." He gestured to Ran.

"I'm Ran. These two are Rin and Conan."

The old woman looked down at the two of you, and a faint smile lifted her lips. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She looked back up at Kogoro. "I'm Youko Higashi. This is my son, Kaisei. If you'll follow me, I'll introduce you to the others."

She turned and headed further into the house. She led the way to a large living room, with a roaring fireplace. Inside a few more people sat around talking.

"We have company." Youko hummed as she entered the room. All eyes turned to look at you. "This is my second son, Kohaku." She gestured to a man in his late twenties who had dark brown hair and the same grey eyes. "The rest are the family members of my daughter-in-law, who passed. Her father, Kouzou Inada." An older man who looked far more weathered than Youko tipped his head in greeting. "And her sister and brother-in-law, Sakika and Teppei Aizawa." A young couple in their early twenties, the woman with black hair and blue eyes, and her husband with light brown hair and brown eyes.
