"Alright class, don't forget to hand in your assignments before you leave!" Ms. Kobayashi called over the shuffling of books being shoved into bags.

The brats chattered about the newest episode of Masked Yaiba as you split off to your own locker. You took your time changing back into your shoes while the noise around you slowly dispersed.

"Rin, are you coming?" Ayumi called from the door.

"Yeah, I'm coming." You got to your feet and slung your bag over your shoulder, before ambling towards the door. The five of them waited for you to join them before continuing out into the sunlight.

The kids continued their aimless ramblings as you started down the street.

"I wonder if Doc managed to fix the bug in the game." Mitsuhiko hummed.

"I wouldn't hold your breath." Conan half chuckled.

"He's been working on testing that new invention of his, so I doubt he's had much free time." You added.

"It was still pretty fun." Ayumi noted.

"Yeah, and he said he'd buy us some more snacks!" Genta smiled.

"Always thinking with your stomach." Haibara shook her head.

The six of you made your way to Agasa's talking and laughing as you went. When you arrived, Ayumi led the way inside.

"Woah, what is all of this stuff!" She chirped. She and the kids quickly kicked off their shoes and hurried inside.

You froze when you entered behind them. There were hundreds of brightly colored packages neatly wrapped and tied off with bows.

"Ah, those aren't for you!" Agasa quickly chided the kids before they got too excited.

Mitsuhiko cocked his head. "Who are they for?"

Agasa shot you an uncertain look.

"Did they come with a note?" You asked.

Agasa grabbed an envelope from the table and held it out for you.

You crossed the room and took it from him. Tearing open the envelope, you were greeted by scratchy writing.

I was told to send you these things by my boss.
He said to send everything, and you can decide what to do with it all.

You felt your throat tighten. You'd hoped you wouldn't have to think about the last case for a long while, but, unfortunately, Yori was just as quick as you'd feared. "They're mine."

Conan hurried to your side, and took the note from you. His eyebrows furrowed with concentration and worry.

"What?" Mitsuhiko questioned.

"Who'd send you all these things?" Genta asked.

"There are some big kid things here too." Ayumi added.

"You guys can play with or take whatever you want."

The kids chattered loudly as they tore into the wrapped packages.

"Rin..." Conan started.

"It's fine. It's not like I have any use for it." You sighed.

"There's one box that I kept separate." Agasa started. "It seemed important, so I set it on your desk."

You gave him a curt nod, before heading over to the table. It was a plain cardboard box, twice the size of a shoebox. You pulled out a knife and easily cut through the tape sealing the box.
