-Phantom's P.O.V.-
I had left (Y/N) on an unfinished conversation to deal with Skulker. Due to the fight's lengthy time, I had a feeling she was worried about me. After checking in with the family, I flew to (Y/N)'s. She was most likely asleep, but I had to ease her nerves.
Once at her house, I looked through her window. As I assumed, she was asleep in her bed. I felt a little bad about planning to wake her up. She looked peaceful.
I phased through the wall and floated over to her. I sat next to her as she rolled onto her back.
Whoops.
Her eyes opened. Upon seeing me, she grabbed my hand and rolled back over onto her side. "I'm glad you're okay.."
I kissed the back of her hand. "I didn't mean to leave the conversation open earlier."
She yawned. "I know.."
I got into bed with her. Holding her to me, my tail loosely coiled around her leg. "I told you I'd be fine." I kissed her head.
"I'm just worried about them getting stronger.." she said. "Maybe you won't be able to beat them one day.."
"Pssh," I said dismissively. "They only come up with different attacks that I easily learn to counter. You have nothing to worry about, ecto. You know you're in safe hands with me around."
She nuzzled against me. "Yeah, I am.."
"Mind if I stayed the night?" I asked.
"I'd prefer it.." came her sleepy answer.
I settled down with her in my arms. Within a few minutes, she was asleep again. I held her close while succumbing to my own fatigue.
