145: Memories

Normal P.O.V

Gray was a crying mess, as he couldn't stop or control his emotions. The person he loves more than anything gave up in his hands. Gems was Gray's lifeline, and Gray couldn't even imagine a life without him.

Lucy and Happy wanted to calm Gray down, but they were a mess themselves and didn't know what to do.

Everyone fighting were enraged as they fought Seth and his clones, especially Fairy Tail. Gems saved their lives at the cost of his own life and they were all heartbroken.

“Can we not do anything to save him?” Happy cried. Lucy just sighed.

They were interrupted when Porlyusica arrived, along with Mimosa from Golden dawn. She immediately checked up on Gems.

“Hurry up, we need to take him somewhere safe, where I can treat him.” Porlyusica said as she looked here and there, grabbing Lucy and Gray's attention.

“You can save him?” Gray asked.

“Yes, now hurry up before it gets too late. His pulse is dangerously abnormal for my liking. We need to be quick before we really lose him!” Porlyusica yelled at them, she herself was holding back tears of her own.

“Gems! We will save you, I promise!” Gray said holding Gems's arm.

“Hurry up!” Porlyusica yelled at them. She also insisted that Wendy, Shelia, Mimosa and Ichiya to join her since they could be great help in healing Gems, while they wait for the royal medics to arrive.

Shelia and Wendy protected them from any incoming attacks that flew their way, while Gray got up and picked up Gems in the bridal way and they all made their way out of the arena. 

Gray held Gems close to him as Lucy drove the magic vehicle with the SE plug as they drove towards the royal place where they were staying.

Gray carried Gems to the infirmary and placed him on the bed and just shed more tears looking at him. Gray didn't leave his side. Gray just held Gems's arm while standing there.

“Can you ask Gray to leave?” Porlyusica told Lucy. “I can't start the treatment with everyone in this room.” She added.

Lucy nodded in response.

“Gray... We gotta go...” Lucy mumbled as she grabbed Gray by his other arm and tried pulling him away but Gray didn't even budge. “Gray come on!” Lucy pulled harder.

“I'll stay here with Gems!” Gray yanked Lucy's hand away.

Porlyusica rolled her eyes and grabbed Gray, pulling him away from Gems. “If you really want Gems to survive then let me do my work!” Porlyusica snapped and yelled at Gray. “You're the one being a complete obstacle right now. Just leave this room before his soul leaves this room!” Porlyusica yelled at Gray and sighed at the end.

Sure they had seen Porlyusica yelling at them before, but this was hitting harder.

Lucy immediately grabbed Gray, before he can argue and pulled him out of the infirmary. “Gray... Calm down... It's gonna be okay, remember what Gems used to say? To believe in him, right? So we gotta keep faith.” Lucy said as she made Gray sit on the chair nearby.

Gray was not in an emotional state that he could understand such stuff, all he wanted right now was Gems.

Gray looked down and shed more tears.

“I just... Want Gems back...” Gray mumbled, he was completely broken. His voice cracked as he sat and prayed for Gems.

“Have faith in him.” Lucy said. Gray didn't reply and just nodded in response. Both Gray and Lucy sat in silence, but the silence was killing Gray. He wanted to be alone and cry his heart out.
