139: Gems VS Natsu Vs Asta

Normal P.O.V

Gray had carried Gems to the medical room immediately after their match. Times like this is when Gray wished he could use healing magic.

When the medical staff checked on Gems, they came to know that Gems had suffered through an ankle injury along with a shoulder injury and a back injury.

Gems's whole body was heating up and he was starting to feel the effects of using more magic power than he should've used.

Gems was running low on magic. Gray insisted on calling Porlyusica and Wendy but Gems refused out of guilt. Gray had no choice but to listen to Gems. Gray was worried for Gems.

The royal healers worked their healing magic on Gems and helped him with his physical injuries but they suggested that Gems needed a lot of rest to get his magic rejuvenated.

“Gray...” Gems mumbled while holding Gray's hand while getting an injection.

Gray flinched at how hard Gems had grabbed him. “Its gonna be okay... Its gonna be okay...” Gray mumbled. Gems was wincing in pain.

“Make sure he gets these medicines in his system or he won't be able to compete for the finale.” the doctor said as he gave Gray some pills. Gray just nodded in response.

Lucy and Freed were worried for Gems and they wanted to visit Gems, but Gray refused. Gray reminded them that Gems didn't know that everyone in Fairy Tail heard their conversation, so they need to maintain distance till the finale was over.

Lucy understood.

Gray was surprised that none of Gems's guildmates came to see him or check on him. Gray was mostly concerned about Gems's safety in that guild.

Gray had asked Erza to arrange for a magic vehicle so that he could take Gems back to the royal hotel.

Erza didn't even think twice. Gems was not even conscious after he was given the shot. He'd directly wake up tomorrow morning. He's body was heating up.

Gray was surprised that his entire team was there in the magic vehicle when he got Gems out.

“The gang's really back together.” Happy said with a smile. Gray smiled back. He held Gems tighter. While Gems was unconscious, Wendy used her healing magic on him inorder to help him.

“He fought like a champ today.” Natsu said as he looked at a passed out Gems besides Gray.

“You better go easy on him at the finale.” Laki replied.

“I can't wait till he's really back with us.” Lucy said almost tearing up. Gray just looked at Gems and thought about him being alone.

When they reached the royal hotel, Gray immediately took Gems to his bedroom and laid him down on the bed. Others couldn't help even if they wanted to. Gems had a fever and Gray was worried for him.

Gray changed Gems's clothes and made sure he was comfortable as he tucked him in his bed.

‘I am gonna stay here with him for the night.’ Gray thought. He was about to remove his jacket when he heard a knock on the bedroom door.

Gray just sighed as he wore his jacket back as he got up. “Who's there?” Gray asked as he opened the door. Gray immediately frowned when he saw Seth standing outside with a smirk. Gray stepped outside and closed the door behind.

“What do you want?” Gray asked in a serious voice while crossing his arms.

Seth tried to go inside Gems's room, but Gray blocked his way and didn't let him enter. “Gems is resting, and I not letting you near him.” Gray added with the same tone and same expressions.
