133: Gems VS Asta

Normal P.O.V

‘There is nothing left to talk.’

‘Don't you get it!? We are over.’

‘There is nothing left between us. We are done.’

‘Leave me alone.’

‘Its over!’

Gems's words kept on ringing in Gray's head. Gray had to control his emotions as he was in public as he didn't want to create a scene. Gray was completely broken.

He wandered in the streets like a lost soul looking for peace, which was taken away from him.

Gray wasn't able to focus on anything, all he could think of was Gems and the unanswered questions that were floating in his head, which kept on increasing in number. Gray felt lost and unable to find his way back. The only one that could guide him was Gems.

Gems could fly him out of the mess.

‘I should just head back to my room...’ Gray thought as being out there wasn't helping him at all. He had his hands in pocket and with a broken heart he walked towards the royal hotel.

Gray stopped in his tracks when he spotted his person, Gems. All the worries on his face had disappeared when he saw Gems. Gems was surrounded by little kids outside the entrance gate.

‘That smile...’ Gray thought when he saw the smile on Gems's face. That was a genuine smile.

It was clear that Gems was the favorite of those kids. Gems used his magic and made those kids float in the air while having that smile on his face and being all cheerful. This was the first time Gray had seen Gems smile and be happy like that ever since he returned.

‘What's up with you... Gemsie? Which is the real you? The one which destroyed a man in the evening without even using magic or the one right now playing with these kids?’ Gray thought as he saw that. Gems had become a kid with those kids.

“Do you want my autograph?” Gems asked the kids and they all jumped in unison saying yes with happiness. Gray stood far and watched Gems play with those kids and love them. He was very gentle with them.

Gray smiled as he saw the kids being happy as Gems signed autographs for them.

Gray was feeling warmth within him looking at that.

Gray lost the track of time while watching and just stood there and didn't even realize that Gems said goodbye to those kids and walked back inside the royal hotel.

Gray was pulled out of his trance when he heard someone calling out for him.

“Hey! Mister! Down here!”

Gray immediately looked down and it was one of the kids that was with Gems just now. Gray knelt down to his level and smiled.

“Do you need something, kiddo? Like my autograph?” Gray was flattered while asking that but the kid just frowned.

“Nobody wants your autograph.” The kid said and Gray's facial expressions flattened with embarrassment. Gray just rolled his eyes, but he kept his cool with the kid. He didn't want to be rude with someone that Gems was happy with.

“Then what do you need? Do you wanna see a magic trick or something?” Gray asked politely.

The kid just stuck his tongue out. “I don't like your magic, my favorite wizard is Gems D'Cruz. Not you.” The kid said while puffing his cheeks. A vein popped in Gray's forehead but he kept his smile.
