Here's the next chapter, lovelies...

I know I'm very late, but well, there's so much stuff happening around that I'm barely getting time to myself. I only hope you all are understanding...

Stay safe wherever you are.

Have a nice read and let me know your thoughts...

...

Pranavi and Shreya were exchanging glances on the lawn while Jwalin and Jathin were staring at their respective wives, unsure of what their wives intended to do.

"Is your bike at our house?" Pranavi asked Shreya while the chilly wind welcomed them, easing their minds with the peace the cool air brought.

Shreya nodded. "Isn't yours at our house too?"

Pranavi gasped as the realization sank in. "Shoot, babe. I forgot that I left my bike there."

Shreya gave a knowing look and said, "We should go to our house. Pick our bikes, gear, and accessories."

Pranavi replied, "Then let's all hop in a car."

Without wasting another second, Pranavi yelled, "Jwalin. Let's go to our flat first."

In a while, Jwalin brought his black Mercedez, and they all seated in the car. Jwalin and Jathin sat in the front, Pranavi and Shreya in the back. Even though the ride was fairly silent, there was an unnerving tension in the air, making Shreya nervous and bothered.

As if sensing the atmosphere, Pranavi said, "Put some music on, Jwalin." Jwalin nodded, and the song began playing in the car.

Sun is going down, time is running out
No one else around but me
Steady losing light, steady losing my mind
Moving shadows and grinding teeth (ooh)
Without you, there ain't no place for me to hide
Without you, there's no way I can sleep tonight
What I'd do for a little bit of peace and quiet
Without you, I keep
Slipping into bad dreams (dreams)
Where there's no you and I
No sound when I cry
I love you and I need you to set me free
From all of these
Bad dreams (bad dreams)
Waitin' on the other side
No sound when I cry
I love you and I need you to set me free
From all of these, all of these

After a while, Shreya glanced at Pranavi and mouthed, "Will they ride with us?"

"I guess." Pranavi shrugged. "It's possible after all."

Shreya questioned, unable to stay calm. "Don't they need the gear?"

Pranavi replied, "They do."

Shreya's eyes widened upon the sudden realization. "How can we arrange something for them now?"

"You remember Ira Couture?"

Shreya thought hard, but nothing came to her mind, and she shook her head. Pranavi asked, "You remember Nyra, don't you?"

"Is it the same Nyra, our senior in high school?"

Pranavi nodded. Then, Shreya asked, "Is Ira Couture hers? Is this the one we invested in previously?"

"Bingo." With a pause, Pranavi added, "But seriously, how can you not remember the one you invested in?"

Shreya scoffed, "As if it's my choice. You don't want to invest alone, so you brought me in. But then again, I'm bad at remembering names. You know me."

Pranavi chuckled. "Of course. I want us to share the profits."

Shreya replied with a mischievous grin, "And losses, too."

"Of course. Through thick and thin, remember?" Pranavi gave a haughty look, making Shreya almost laugh out loud. "Alright. So what's the plan?"

"She had Jwalin's measurements previously. I told to keep a couple of pairs ready for Jwalin always."
