Just the Way You Are

Okay this one is an actual update this time I promise!!! I know that it's been a long time since I have but oh well! I would have updated sooner if I had more ideas but I've run out so please give me some requests!!!

Set in Race to the Edge but before the first episode.

The gang were all sat in the Academy and Hiccup was sat at the edge against the wall. Everything seemed normal, the twins were arguing, Snotlout was resting along with Hookfang and Fishlegs had his nose in a book. But Astrid, Astrid was no where to be seen and it was starting to worry Hiccup. She never usually was late for their meetings and especially since none of them hung out as often anymore , and that made Hiccup sad. he wished he could stay with Astrid all day but they were 'just friends', and that fact was killing him.

"Hey, has anyone seen Astrid?" The twins carried on fighting and Snotlout still had his helmet over his eyes. The only one who looked like they had heard him was Fishlegs. Hiccup looked at him but Fishlegs just shook his head,

"I saw her yesterday, does that count?" Hiccup turned to Ruffnut who decided to join the conversation. He rolled his eyes,

"I saw Astrid an hour ago, but she just got onto Stormfly and flew to the forest." Hiccup's eyes brightened. The forest, of course. But was she still there? He couldn't be sure. No. He should stay sat down, she might turn up.

"Alright guys, I guess we'll have to start without her..."

"See you Hiccup..." Fushlegs was the last one to leave. He left Hiccup alone in the academy, still waiting for Astrid. He was sure that she would turn up at some point.

Toothless nudged him in the hopes that Hiccup would give him a smile. But the boy just sat there with his in the clouds, paying no attention to the Night Fury. Toothless groan ed and lay his head back on the floor. hiccup was leaning against the dragon and was flicking through his sketchbook. He mindlessly turned the pages of designs and portraits of Toothless but he stopped when he arrived upon yet another portrait, but this one was different. This one was a portrait of Astrid,

"Look at her bud. Isn't she amazing..." The Night Fury smiled at the love sick boy and gurgled in response. "Just beautiful..." Hiccup began to hum to himself: (start the vid)

Hiccup sighed once more before he closed his sketchbook. A silhouette stood at the entrance to the academy. Her ears melted at his beautiful voice, she needed to speak with him. She had to.

"Hiccup?" Hiccup jumped up from the floor and patted himself down, wiping off all of the dust. He was surprised to see her right now,

"Astrid! What are... What are you doing here?" Astrid frowned,

"The meeting. Remember..." Hiccup sighed,

"Astrid that was an hour ago..." Astrid sucked in a breath She needed to talk to him. She had to talk to him now.

"I know... I wanted to talk to you alone..." Hiccup's eyes widened. She wanted to talk to him?! Hiccup couldn't believe it, Astrid wanted to talk to him, but about what?

"Errrr... About what, exactly?" Astrid sighed and stepped closer,

"I heard you... Singing..." Hiccup froze. She heard that? Oh my Thor. This was embarrassing now. But why was she bringing that up.

"You know, Astrid. I meant every word..." Hiccup had no idea how he managed to say that but he just did. He couldn't believe himself right now. But Astrid smiled in return,

"I know. So..." Hiccup stepped closer,

"So?" Astrid was no inches away from him,

"Isn't there something you'd like to ask me?" Hiccup's muscles froze. This was his chance. He had to say it. He had to. He had to. 

"Astrid... Will you... Will you... Be... My girlfriend?" Hiccup finally choked up the words he'd always wanted to say to her but never found the right way to say them. Astrid wrapped her arms around Hiccup's neck.

"Of course I will you muttonhead!" Hiccup smiled and went for it. He kissed her. He kissed her. Astrid smiled when Hiccup's lips crashed against her's. She engulfed this moment with every fibre of her being and tasted him a way she had never experienced before. And she loved it! But it had to ends as a few seconds later, Hiccup pulled away. Red faced and panting hard. 

They just stood there gazing into each other's eyes and there they would stay until dawn.

Finally another update!!

I know it's been a while since I've updated and I am truly sorry for that but please give me some requests as I have completely ran out of ideas! I probably will have some more ideas around Christmas time because that's when I am most creative and productive.

Anyway I hope you guys are enjoying school as much as I am and hating the huge amounts of homework as I am!! But I love you all and you guys make me smile every time I read your comment as they are so inspired!!!
